AIR QUALITY PERMIT
NOTICE
Notice of Application
On December 7, 2015 the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Air Quality, issued permit R13-3082A to Allegheny Energy Supply Company, LLC for a Class II Administrative Update, for a coal fired power plant located at No. 1 Power Station Blvd, near Willow Island, in Pleasants County, West Virginia. The latitude and longitude coordinates are:
39.3674, -81.2943
On January 5, 2016, Allegheny Energy appealed certain conditions in the permit to the West Virginia Air Quality Board. On April 18, 2016, a settlement agreement and order was issued by the Air Quality Board which required WVDAQ to make certain changes to permit R13-3082A.
Notice is hereby given that those changes will be incorporated and a new permit will be issued as R13-3082B.
Any increase in the potential to discharge regulated air pollutants will be due to the changes mandated by the settlement agreement and order.
Startup of operations commenced on or about the 7th day of December, 2015.Written comments will be received by the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Air Quality, 601 57th Street, SE, Charleston, WV 25304, for at least 30 calendar days from the date of publication of this notice.
