On August 24, 2020, Harold A. Taylor, Alice M. Taylor, and Harold A. Taylor, Jr., dba Harold’s Refuse Removal, Wood County Waste, Inc., Quality Sanitation Service, Inc., and Harold A. Taylor, dba Wood County Waste (Applicant), filed applications pursuant to Rule 19A of the Commission’s Rules for the Construction and Filing of Tariffs (Tariff Rules), to increase rates and charges under PSC MC Certificate Nos. F-5449, F-5011, F-6059 and F-5468. The Applicant requested consolidated rates for these four certificates of $17.25 monthly for residential rates and a monthly $3.75 recycling fee.
Commission Staff has reviewed the application and its
recommended rates and charge as follows:

The commission may adopt rates and charges for the Applicant which are the same as, greater than or less than the Staff-recommended rates and charges. Any person affected by the Staff-recommended rates change has the right to protest or to be heard as to why the changes should not be allowed, either wholly or in part. Anyone desiring to protest the Staff-recommended increased rates and charges must do so, in writing, within ten (10) days after the publication of this notice. All protests should be addressed to the Executive Secretary of the Public Service Commission of West Virginia, P.O. Box 812, Charleston, West Virginia 25323.
To help the Commission determine the justification for additional review and investigation, protest must be specific as to the reasons that the changed rates and charges should not be approved. In addition, anyone desiring a hearing in this matter must demand a hearing in the letter of protest. If no substantial protest is received, the Commission may approve the Staff-recommended rates without a hearing.
