ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
The Housing Authority of the City of Grafton, West Virginia, will receive sealed bids for roof replacement of all buildings at the Grafton Homes and Sunset Terrace Sites. All bids shall be marked: Roof and Gutter Replacement , WV012-01 and WV012-3.
Bids will be received at the office of the Housing Authority of the City of Grafton, Elizabeth Cather Towers, 131 East Main Street, Grafton, WV 26354 until 9:00 A.M. EST., July 29, 2016. After 9:00 A.M. EST. bids will continue to be received until 9:30 A.M., July 29, 2016 at Sunset Terrace Community Room, Grafton, WV, at 9:30 A.M. all bids will be opened and read aloud publicly.
BASE BID: Provide all labor, materials, equipment and supervision to perform said project.
A pre-bid conference will be held on July 13, 2016 at 9:00 A.M. in the community room at Sunset Terrace. All interested parties are encouraged to attend. The scope and details, of the proposed work, will be covered. Copies of the contract documents and specifications may be obtained at the pre-bid meeting or, upon request, from the Housing Authority, 131 East Main Street, Grafton, WV 26354. A Twenty Five dollar non-refundable deposit is required for each set of contract documents requested. Please make check payable to the Housing Authority of the City of Grafton.
All bids must be accompanied by a negotiable bid guarantee which shall not be less than five percent (5{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c}) of the amount of the submitted bid. The bid guarantee may be a certified check or bank draft, payable to the Housing Authority of the City of Grafton, U.S. Government Bonds at par value or a bid bond secured by a surety company acceptable to the U.S. Government and authorized to do business in the state of West Virginia.
The successful bidder shall be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bond (bonds) or furnish other surety acceptable to the Grafton Housing Authority.
Attention is called to provisions for equal employment opportunity and payment of not less than the prevailing salaries and/or wages listed in the bid requirements.
The Housing Authority of the City of Grafton is a non-profit governmental agency and is exempt from state sales tax. Preference will be given to qualified Section 3 businesses. Section 3 businesses must submit certification form with bid.
No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days, subsequent to the opening of bids, without the express written consent of the Housing Authority of the City of Grafton. The Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the biddings.
