WIRT COUNTY LIGHTING UPGRADES
THRASHER PROJECT #101-060-0619
Sealed Bids for Contract Wirt County Lighting Upgrades will be received by the Wirt County Board of Education, located at 389 Mulberry Lane Elizabeth, Wirt County, West Virginia, until 1:30p.m., L.P.T., on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, for furnishing materials as set forth in the Contract Documents prepared by The Thrasher Group, Inc. Immediately following the scheduled closing time for the reception of Bids, all proposals which have been submitted in accordance with the conditions of the Contract Documents will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The Work to be Bid upon is as described as follows:
Provide all replacement light fixtures and equipment for the WIRT County High, Middle and Primary School lighting upgrades as shown on the bid documents. Light fixtures and equipment supplied are to be installed by the Owner.
Materials shall be delivered in three shipments. The first shipment will be for the High School and must be provided within 30 days after the date of Contract Award. The subsequent two shipments for the Middle and Primary Schools will be supplied within 14 days from Owners notification request for each delivery.

Complete sets of Bidding Documents may be obtained from the office of The Thrasher Group, Inc., 600 White Oaks Boulevard, P. O. Box 940, Bridgeport, WV 26330, for the following costs:
ó Bidding Documents issued as hard copy drawings and hard copy specifications are available for $25.00 per set.
ó Bidding Documents issued as digital drawings and digital specifications on a C.D. are available for $15 per set.
Amounts paid are not subject to refund.
A two envelope system will be used.
Envelope No. 1 must have the following information presented on the front:
Name and address of Bidder
Bid for Wirt County Lighting Upgrades
Received by the Wirt County Board of Education
Envelope No. 2 labeled âBid Proposalã shall also be placed inside of Envelope #1.
Envelope No. 1 will be opened first and the Bid Opening Requirement items checked for compliance as outlined on the Bid Opening Checklist on page BOR – 1 of these contract documents. If such documents are found to be in order, Envelope No. 2 âBid Proposalã, will then be opened and will be publicly read aloud. If the documents required to be contained in Envelope No. 1 are not in order, Envelope No. 2 âBid Proposalã will not be opened and the Bid will be considered non-responsive and will be returned to the Bidder.
A Bidder may not withdraw his Bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the date set for the opening of Bids.
Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond payable to the Wirt County Board of Education, an amount equal to five percent (5{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c}) of the base Bid.
Contractor is required to provide the Drug Free Workplace Certification in accordance with WV Code 21-1D-5.
Bids received after the scheduled closing time for the reception of Bids will be returned unopened to the Bidders.
The Wirt County Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all Bids.
