Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Spencer, 116 Court Street, Spencer, West Virginia, at the Common Council Chambers of the Municipal Building, until 1:30 p.m., local prevailing time, July 23, 2015, at which time all sealed BIDS received in complete order will be publicly opened and read aloud for:

 

2015 STREET PAVING PROJECT

 

Contract No. I – Consisting of approximately 700 tons of hot-mixed asphalt wearing course and miscellaneous appurtenances.

 

The City of Spencer reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation, nonconforming, non-responsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids, OWNER further reserves the right to reject the Bid of any Bidder whom it finds, after reasonable inquiry and evaluation, to be non-responsible. OWNER may also reject the Bid of any Bidder if OWNER. believes that it would not be in the best interest of the Project to make an award to that Bidder, OWNER also reserves the right to negotiate Contract terms with Successful Bidder.

Copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the City of Spencer at no charge.

 

No BID may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the time of the opening of the BIDS.

 

Any Contractor submitting a BID on this project hereby certifies, indicates, and acknowledges that he has a proper, current, valid license, in accordance with the requirements of West Virginia State Code ç21-11-6 and ç21-11-11, to perform the contemplated work and meets all the qualifications required by the statutes of the State and subdivision in which the work is to be performed. All Bidders must also include their Contractorás license number on any BID(s) submitted,
