Notice is hereby given that Republic Energy, LLC, PO Box 69, 622 Packs Branch Road, Pax, WV 25904 has submitted an application with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Regional Office at 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV 25840 for a Phase 1,2,and 3 release on Permit Number S-3010-11 Increment #5 issued for 35.28 acres.
The permit is located in Cabin Creek & Valley District of Kanawha & Fayette County, 1.8 miles SW of Mahan on Unnamed Tributaries of Cabin Creek, Fifteenmile Creek, and Long Branch of Tenmile Fork of Cabin Creek and Paint Creek of Upper Kanawha River.
Republic Energy, LLC did not disturb this area and is requesting release of 100 percent of the reclamation performance bond currently in the amount of $54,720.
Written comments will be received at the DEP address above until May 16, 2026, or thirty (30) days from date of final publication.
