The Housing Authority of the County of Jackson, West Virginia will receive sealed bids for the CFP Modernization ­ ROOF REPLACEMENTS AT ROLLING MEADOWS, PROJECT WV15-PO35-001, at the Housing Authority office until 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for the modernization work.

 

This aforementioned scope of work will be let under one (1) contract.

 

Copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained upon request to Browne Group Architects, 1351 King Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43212, telephone (614) 486-7145, together with a deposit in the amount of $50.00 made payable to: Browne Group Architects, for each set of documents requested. Each contractor shall be limited to one set of refundable documents. Upon return of the documents in good condition, within ten (10) days of the bid opening, said deposit will be returned. Said deposit will not be returned if contractor has not submitted a valid bid. Bidder may examine bid documents at the following locations:

A Prebid Conference will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at the Housing Authority Administrative Offices at Tanglewood Villa, Whispering Way, Ripley, West Virginia. The scope and details of the proposed project work will be discussed. Attendance is recommended.

 

The work to be performed under this contract is subject to the requirements of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended, 12 U.S.C. 1701u (Section 3). The purpose of Section 3 is to ensure that employment and other economic opportunities generated by HUD assistance or HUD-assisted projects covered by Section 3, shall, to the greatest extent feasible, be directed to low- and very low-income persons, particularly persons who are recipients of HUD assistance for housing.

 

Attention is called to the provisions for equal employment opportunity, and payment of not less than the prevailing salaries and wages, as set forth in the Contract Documents, that must be adhered to on this project.
