Future Generations University
Invitation to Bid
Future Generations University is requesting bids for the repair and repainting of the roof on the Historic Anderson House in Franklin, WV. The project includes:
1. Examine, repair and sand entire existing hand seamed metal roof.
2. Remove and repair historic widow’s walk and lightning rods.
3. Fabricate and install new chimney flashing.
4. Coat all seams and penetrations.
5. Prime and paint entire roof.
6. Remove and reinstall existing gutters and downspouts.
7. Reinstall widow’s walk and lightning rods.
The project completion date is no later than June 30, 2021 and will be reviewed by the West Virginia State Historic Preservation Office. Contractors will be selected based upon (1) cost, (2) experience with similar historic preservation projects, and (3) proven ability to complete a project. The contractor must carry out the described work in compliance with the Secretary of Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation.

Bidders must schedule a mandatory pre-bid walk-through appointment prior to April 6, 2021. All bids must be sealed and received no later than 4:00 pm on April 9, 2021.
