This notice is regarding the application for Eppy’s IV for classification as an infectious medical waste large quantity generator.

— Activities covered in this application include disposal of used sharps, soiled dressings, and other supplies used for the administration of parenteral medications and subsequent patient care related to the therapy. All staff will be trained appropriately in handling the waste, and waste will be disposed of by an agency licensed to perform the task. This application is for facilities generating over fifty (50) pounds of infectious medical waste in a one-month period.

— The proposed area will be at Eppy’s IV at the corner of Robert C Byrd Drive and North Oakwood Avenue in Beckley, WV.
— Interested parties may submit written comments on the application and such comments must include concise statements of the issue raised. The Secretary shall conduct a public hearing within forty-five (45) days in the county where the proposed facility is to be located.
