ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids for the construction of:
Rogers Street Drainage Improvements Project
Contract No. 1 – Furnishing all materials, labor, and necessary items for the construction and installation of approximately 358 LF of 36″ HDPE storm pipe; 30 LF of 30″ HDPE storm pipe; 91 LF of 24″ HDPE storm pipe; 185 LF of 18″ HDPE storm pipe; 110 LF of 15″ HDPE storm pipe; 456 LF of 12″ HDPE storm pipe 45 CY of riprap outfall protection; 13 drop inlets; and all other items and appurtenances as outlined in the Plans and Specifications.
Sealed Bids for the construction will be received by Mike Webb (City Manager-City of Princeton) at the office of the City of Princeton; 800 Bee Street, Princeton, WV 24740, until 2:00 p.m. local time on May 20, 2022, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. No pre-bid conference will be conducted. Questions shall be addressed in writing to [email protected] and shall be received before 5:00 p.m. on May 6, 2022.

Bidders may examine and/or obtain the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office, during the hours indicated above, upon payment of a deposit of $150.00 for each set. Bidders who return full sets of the Bidding Documents in good condition (suitable for re-use) within 30 days after receipt of Bids will receive a full refund. Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to “E.L. Robinson Engineering Company”. Upon request and receipt of the document deposit indicated above, the Issuing Office will transmit the Bidding Documents via delivery service. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
No Bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the time of the opening of the Bids. Any Contractor submitting a Bid on this project hereby certifies, indicates and acknowledges that he has a license and meets all the qualifications required by the statutes of the State and subdivision in which the work is to be performed. The Contractor shall comply with West Virginia Contractor’s Licensing Act and shall require all subcontractors to comply with that Act. A Contractor’s License Number is to be included on the bid submission.
The requirements stated in the advertisement for bids and the bid form may not be waived by any public entity.
