ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids will be received by the Sanitary Board of Bluefield, 100 Rogers St., Bluefield, West Virginia 24701, at the specified dates and times for the following work:
Sanitary Board of Bluefield Reid Street, Bluefield, WV, Line Replacement Project – Asphalt Milling and Paving Restoration Bid, until 2:00 P.M., L.P.T., May 24, 2022.
Sanitary Board of Bluefield Church Street, Bluefield, VA, Line Replacement Project -Paving Restoration Only Bid, until 2:00 P.M., L.P.T., May 24, 2022.
Sanitary Board of Bluefield Mountain Lane, Bluefield, VA, Line Replacement Project – Asphalt Milling and Paving Restoration Bid, until 2:00 P.M., L.P.T., May 24, 2022.
Following the scheduled closing time for the reception of bids, all proposals that have been submitted in accordance with the conditions of this project will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The work to be bid upon is described as follows:
Asphalt Milling and Paving
Bids shall be received by the Sanitary Board of Bluefield for Milling and Paving of the above listed Line Replacement project areas to include 10 feet beyond the disturbed existing pavement and from edge to edge of the existing paved surface. Milling should be to a depth of 2″ and resurfacing should place a 2″ asphalt wearing course to the predefined project area and over the existing base material. Bidders shall submit a base price less any government discounts available and shall include a cost breakdown for milling, bonding and asphalt based on the project location. Interested bidders must schedule onsite visits to the project locations no later than May 17, 2022 to be eligible to submit a bid.

Asphalt Paving and Restoration Bids shall be submitted on the Bidder’s standard equipment bid proposal format and included in a sealed bid with the following information:

“Name and Address of Bidder”, The Sanitary Board of Bluefield, Bid on Asphalt Milling and Paving, to be opened at 2:00 P.M., L.P.T., May 24, 2022.
Prospective Bidders are advised that the contracts awarded under this Advertisement for Bids is likely to be funded by a variety of federal, state, and local funds. Neither the United States or the State of West Virginia nor any of its departments, agencies, or employees is or will be a party to this Advertisement for Bids or any resulting contract. Bidders must be licensed and insured to work in project states as needed.
No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the time of the opening of the Bids.
The Sanitary Board of Bluefield reserves the right to reject any or all Bids.
