ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed bids will be received by the Town of White Hall at the White Hall Public Safety Building, 118 Tygart Mall Loop, White Hall, WV 26554 until 4:00 p.m., local prevailing time, October 9, 2023. All sealed bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud at 6:05 p.m. local prevailing time, or as soon thereafter as may occur, for:

The project proposes to install new storm sewer pipe, related structures, and appurtenances across Gamet Lane, residential lots, and along Lavender Lane within the Town of White Hall. The project proposes to remove approximately 40 linear feet of existing storm sewer and I storm inlet structure and install approximately 285 linear feet of 24-inch, 76 linear feet of 18-inch, and 36 linear feet of 12-inch HDPE storm sewer pipe, 6 storm inlet structures, 60 linear feet of concrete, grated trench drain, 3 new 6-inch storm sewer taps as well tying in existing storm sewer pipes, appurtenances and revegetation of the area. The repair and repaving of streets disturbed within and adjacent to the project area is proposed.

All interested parties please call (304) 367-1687 or email [email protected] to obtain bid packets as well as instructions for a mandatory pre-bid meeting. Pre-bid meeting will be held in person at 10:00 a.m., EDT, September 27, 2023 at the White Hall Public Safety Building.

Plans, specifications, and bid forms will be open to public inspection or may be secured at the White Hall Public Safety Building, 118 Tygart Mall Loop, White Hall, WV 26554, (304) 367-1687. Copies of the plans, specifications, bid forms, and contract documents may be obtained from the Town of White Hall by depositing a fee of $25 per set (non-refundable) payable to George E. Pigott & Associates, Inc.

A certified check or bank draft payable to the Town of White Hall, West Virginia, or a bid bond executed by the bidder with a surety company approved by the Town of White Hall, Marion County, West Virginia, in the amount equal to five per cent (5%) of the bid, shall be submitted with each bid, to guarantee the bidders entrance into a contract, if given the award. No bid bond shall be waived or returned because the bidder fails to or cannot comply with any requirements as set forth in the plans, specifications, contract documents, or any applicable statutes of the United States, the State of West Virginia, and any/or all local ordinances.

Any contractor submitting a bid for this project hereby certifies, indicates, and acknowledges that he has a license and meets all the qualifications required by the statutes of the State and the subdivisions in which the work is to be performed. The Town of White Hall reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality therein.
