NOTICE
TOWN OF MONONGAH
Notice is hereby given that the Town of Monongah, a municipal corporation, will hold a hearing on September 25, 2023 on a proposed ordinance, the principal object of which is the increase of water rates for customers of the water system operated by the Town of Monongah. The title of such ordinance is “An Ordinance To Amend the Code of the Town of Monongah, West Virginia With Regard to Water Service Rates”. If approved by Council on second reading at the September 25, 2023 Council meeting, the Ordinance will be read and considered for final adoption at a Town Council meeting to be held on October 12, 2023. The Ordinance proposes that increased rates go into effect for service rendered 45 after adoption
A public comment hearing will be held in the Council Chambers of the Town of Monongah, City Hall, 430 Bridge St., Monongah, West Virginia on September 25, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. If approved on second reading, the final vote on adoption of said proposed ordinance shall be held in the Council Chambers on October 12, 2023, at six (6:00) p.m. Interested parties may appear and be heard at the September 25, 2023 public hearing with respect to the passage of the proposed ordinance. Copies of the proposed ordinance are available at the Office of the Clerk, City Hall, in Monongah.
