Marion County Schools is requesting sealed bids from qualified vendors for the purchase, installation, and setup of a minimum of 203 wall mounted NewLine 5500 55’ 4K USB Type-C Interactive LED Display Boards and a minimum of 89 NewLine 5500 55’ 4K USB Type-C Interactive LED Display Boards on a mobile platform with assembly required. Removal of some old interactive boards may be required and the MCS is requesting that all materials are hauled away off site. Marion County Schools will be receiving sealed bids up to 12:00pm on Thursday, February 22, 2024. RETAINING WALL PROJECT
General Notice

Fayette County Board of Education (Owner) is requesting Bids for the following Project:

Tree Removal and Disposal Contract No. 2024-01

Bids for the Project will be received at the Fayette County Board of Education located at 111 Fayette Ave, Fayetteville, WV 25840, until Thursday, February 29 at 2 P.M. local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.

The Project includes the following Work:

Contract No. 2024-01: Tree Removal and Disposal for Valley School Retaining Wall Project

Cutting, Removal, and Disposal at a Permitted Facility of approximately 15 trees from the project location. The trees must be cut and on the ground no later than March 31, 2024.

Separate Bids will be received for the following Contracts:

Tree Removal and Disposal for Valley School Retaining Wall Project: Contract No. 2024-01

The Project has an expected duration of 60 days, however, as stated above the trees must be felled no later than March 31, 2024.

Prospective Bidders may obtain or examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.

All bidders shall purchase a set of bidding documents for each contract for which they intend to render a bid from the Engineer. Bids rendered will be considered non-responsive if documents have not been purchased by that contractor for the contract.

Bidding Documents may be purchased from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above. Cost does not include shipping charges. Upon Issuing Office’s receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents or electronic documents on compact disk will be sent via the prospective Bidder’s delivery service. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method chosen. Bidding Documents are available for purchase in the following formats:

Mandatory Pre-bid Conference

A pre-bid conference for the Project will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Valley PK-8 1 Greyhound Lane Smithers, WV 25186. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is required.

Instructions to Bidders

The Bid opening procedures shall be a two-envelope system. The system shall consist of two separate and distinct envelopes each with proper identification. The envelopes shall be identified as “Bid Opening Requirements” (first envelope) and the other as “Bid Proposal” (second envelope). The first envelope must be submitted in a sealed envelope containing Bid Bond, Certificate of Compliance, Power of Attorney and all other necessary documents as specified in the Bidder’s Checklist. The second envelope must be a separate sealed envelope containing the Form of Proposal for the contract that is being bid.

Both the first envelope and second envelope must have the following information in the lower left-hand corner:

Name and Address of Bidder, Bid for Contract No. 2024-01 – Tree Removal and Disposal for Valley School Retaining Wall Project, Opening Time 2 P.M., L.P.T., on Tuesday, February 27, 2024.

The first envelope will be opened first and Bid Bond, Power of Attorney and Certificate of Compliance and other required documents as listed on the Bidder’s Checklist will be checked to make sure that all the documents are in order. If the documents are found to be in order, the second envelope containing the Bid will be opened and publicly read aloud. If the documents are not in order, then the second envelope shall be returned to the Bidder unopened. At that time, the Engineer will declare the bidder non-responsive.

Bid Hold

Bids will be held for a period of 90 days after bid opening.

Federal Wage Requirements

Contractors are required to comply with all laws pertaining to prevailing federal wage rates issued in accordance with the Davis Bacon Act. The contractor will be required to pay the federal wage rates appropriate for each worker classification.

Suspension and Debarment

Recipient shall not entertain the use of businesses that are listed on the “Excluded Parties List System” at www.epls.gov in accordance with 2 CFR Part 1532 and Subpart B and C of 2 CFR Part 180.
