NOTICE
PUBLIC HEARING
ON PROPOSED ORDINANCE
TO: CITIZENS OF THE CITY OF FAIRMONT:
The Council of the City of Fairmont at its regular meeting held March 26, 2024 introduced and publicly read in its entirety for the first time the following City Ordinances:
1. An Ordinance Of The Council For The City Of Fairmont Appointing Travis L. Blosser As The City Manager For The City Of Fairmont And Approving And Fixing The Terms And Conditions Of That Certain City Manager Employment Agreement Dated ________ Day Of ______________, 2024, By And Between The City Of Fairmont And Travis L. Blosser, And Providing The Mayor With The Authority To Execute And Deliver Said Agreement On Behalf Of The City Of Fairmont.
2. An Ordinance Of The Council Of The City Of Fairmont Amending And Supplementing Ordinance No. 1933 Duly Adopted April 11, 2023, Which Ordinance Provides For The City Of Fairmont’s Current Pay Plan And List Of Occupational Classes For All Class Titles And Employees, To Provide For: A 3% Base Pay Increase For All Employees With Certain Exceptions; Varying Base Pay Increases For Police Patrol Division; An Increase In Wv Law Enforcement Certification Pay; Clarification, Without Increase, Of Certain Certification Pays; Fixing City Manager Pay; And Other Certain Stylistic Changes To Reflect Current Terminology.
3. An Ordinance Of The Council Of The City Of Fairmont Providing For And Authorizing The Transfer And Conveyance Of A Certain Parcel Of Real Estate Situate In The City Of Fairmont, Winfield District, Marion County, West Virginia, To-Wit:

From Ardella L. Cottrill To The City Of Fairmont; Providing For And Authorizing The Conveyance And Transfer Of Said Parcel Of Real Estate From The City Of Fairmont In Accordance With The City Of Fairmont’s Approved Home Rule Plan And The Ordinances Adopted Thereunder; And Authorizing The City Manager To Execute And Deliver All Transactional Documents On Behalf Of The City Of Fairmont.
Copies of the proposed Ordinances are available in the office of the Interim City Clerk, Room 312, 200 Jackson Street, Fairmont, West Virginia.
The Public Hearing on the proposed items will be held at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 in Council Chambers, at the Public Safety Building, 500 Quincy Street, Fairmont, West Virginia.
Any interested person may appear at the public hearing and be heard as to whether or not said proposed Ordinance shall be enacted. All objections and suggestions shall be heard and Council shall take such action as it deems necessary in the premises.
