IN THE CIRCUIT COURT OF MINGO COUNTY, WEST VIRGINIA CIVIL ACTION NO: CC-20-2025-C-673 DEBRA L. RUSNAK, Prosecuting Attorney for Kanawha County, on behalf of West Virginia State Police – Bureau of Criminal Investigation and US 119 Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, Plaintiff, v. $2,896 in United States currency, Defendant. PUBLICATION NOTICE On March 12, 2025, investigators with the WVSP-BCI and US 119 Drug and Violent Crime Task Force seized $2,896 in United States currency, at the Marmet Tobacco and Vape shop at 8903 MacCorkle Avenue, SE, in Marmet, Kanawha County, West Virginia. The $2,896 in United States currency constitutes monies furnished or intended to be furnished, in violation of West Virginia Code, Chapter 60A, in exchange for Marijuana and/or other controlled substances and/or proceeds traceable to such an exchange, and/or monies used, or which have been used, or which are intended to be used to facilitate any violation of West Virginia Code, Chapter 60A, and/or the laws of the State of West Virginia. At the time of seizure, the $2,896 in United States currency was owned and possessed by Ahmed Sidi Ahmed. The State of West Virginia has filed a Complaint for Forfeiture wherein it has asked the Circuit Court of Kanawha County, West Virginia to forfeit the above-described $2,896 in United States currency to the State and to vest title and ownership of the said currency in the State of West Virginia. A copy of said Complaint for Forfeiture may be obtained from the Kanawha County Circuit Clerk’s Office. Any person having a claim upon the above described $2,896 in United States currency shall make a claim on said property on or before the passing of 30 days from first publication of this legal publication. Any claim must clearly identify the claimant and the address at which legal process can be served upon the claimant. All claims shall be delivered to J.
