PUBLIC HEARING KANAWHA COUNTY COMMISSION COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT APPLICATION PROPOSALS JANUARY 28th, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. KANAWHA COUNTY COMMISSION CHAMBERS 409 Virginia Street, E Charleston, WV 25336 The Kanawha County Commission is announcing it plans to apply for two projects through the Community Development Block Grant program: 1) the Kanawha County Demolition Project, for funding to demolish dilapidated, unsafe, and abandoned structures; and 2) the Cross Lanes Storm Sewer Evaluation Project, to evaluate flooding and drainage issues in the grant eligible areas. The Commission will conduct a public hearing to obtain the views and comments of the citizens of the County concerning these community development, demolition, and housing needs and the needs of low and moderate income persons. The County will consider these views and comments when it submits its block grant proposals to the State of West Virginia. The public hearing is scheduled for January 28th at 5:30 p.m., at the Commission Courtroom, 1st floor, 409 Virginia Street E., Charleston, WV. Citizens may attend the meeting and express their views or submit written comments by the above date to the Honorable W.
