PUBLIC NOTICE The U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration (EDA) is considering a request for Federal assistance from Pea Ridge Public Service District to construct a Rt.2 Phase II sewer project in Huntington, WV, Cabell County. Pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), EDA is conducting an assessment of the potential of the proposed project to affect the environment and/or historic properties. Notice is hereby given that the project is proposed to be located in, or may affect, a floodplain and/or wetland as defined by Executive Order (EO) 11988 and/or EO 11990. The project is the Route 2 Phase 2 Sanitary Sewer Project for the Pea Ridge Public Service District. The Pea Ridge Public Service District is undertaking the project to provide sanitary sewer service to approximately 146 customers along Route 2 in and around Lesage, the Kyle Lane Industrial Park, and the YMCA in Cabell County, West Virginia. The project consists of approximately 25,000 linear feet of 8″ and 10″ of gravity sewer line, 8,500 of 2″ and 3″ pressure force mains, 153 manholes, 9 cleanouts, and various surface restoration.
