ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS HUNTINGTON STORMWATER UTILITY HUNTINGTON, WEST VIRGINIA 11TH STREET PUMP STATION STABILIZATION Sealed Bids for the construction of the 11TH Street Pump Station Stabilization will be received by Huntington Stormwater Utility, 555 7th Avenue, Huntington, West Virginia 25701, until 2:00 PM local time on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. Envelopes containing bids shall be marked as follows: 11th Street Pump Station Stabilization EDA Award Number 01-79-14953 Huntington, West Virginia – June 16, 2021 Bidder: The Project consists of constructing: 3250 lineal feet of resistance piers to underpin the existing pump station, regulator chamber, and floodwall. Replacement of 20 feet of 48-inch diameter sewer pipe. 480 lineal feet of helical piers to support the new sewer pipe.. Grouting with low mobility grout to fill any underground voids. Together with appurtenant work. The Project has an expected duration of 120 days. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged but is not mandatory. To accommodate current meeting restrictions guidelines for meeting room and event spaces to reduce the spread of COVID-19 will be followed. Bidders are required to have a West Virginia contractor’s license per 21-11-11 of the WV Code. This Project will be funded with Federal funds from the United States Department of Commerce – Economic Development Administration (EDA) and therefore is subject to the Federal laws and regulations associated with that program. All elements of the Project shall meet EDA requirements, including, but not limited to, design requirements, bidding process, reporting, construction, grant administration, and documentation throughout the Project. All bidders must be “Equal Opportunity Employers” and comply with the appropriate provisions of State and Federal law. Federal Davis-Bacon Act wage rate determinations are inserted as part of the Bidding Documents and the requirements of which shall be incorporated into the Bid by the CONTRACTOR. Per EDA requirements, if the construction Contract price exceeds $100,000, the following provision will be added to the Owner’s contractual Agreement: “The Owner, EDA, the Comptroller General of the United States, the Inspector General of the Department of Commerce, or any of their duly authorized representatives, shall have access to any documents, books, papers, and records of the CONTRACTOR (which are directly pertinent to a specific grant program) for the purpose of making an audit, examination, excerpts, and transcriptions.
