Kanawha County Public Library Clendenin Library ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID The Kanawha County Public Library will receive sealed bids on a general contract for site work for a new 24-hour automated library in Clendenin, West Virginia. Bids will be received at the Kanawha County Library, 123 Capitol Street, Charleston, West Virginia, 25301, until 2:00 pm, local time on January 11, 2022. Hand-delivered bids shall be delivered to the Kanawha County Library administrative office at the Charleston Town Center. Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud at that time. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the project site at 1 Cardinal Street in Clendenin at 10:00 am on December 16, 2021. Attendance is mandatory for prime bidders only. Bidding documents may be obtained from Chapman Technical Group, for a non-refundable fee of $50.00 per set. Fee includes shipping and handling. Successful bidder will be provided with 3 sets at no charge and additional sets for the cost of printing and shipping. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, made payable to the owner, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The bidder to whom the contract is awarded shall execute and deliver to the owner within 7 days after the award, and before signing the contract, a corporate surety bond in a sum equal to at least the contract sum, and the cost of such bond shall be paid by the bidder. Pursuant to WV Code 21-11-11, Bidders are hereby notified that a current and valid WV Contractor’s License Number shall accompany their bid proposal for their bid to be considered. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, the right to waive minor informalities and procedures in bidding, and the right to withhold final award of contract for 60 days after opening bids.
