Legal Notice
The City of Mount Vernon will receive selaed bids for Fuel (Bulk), Fuel (Pump), Lime (Water Department), Sodium Chlorite, Water Meters, Waterline Repairs/Supplies; required for the year 2017, all in accordance with plans and specifications, now on filein the Office of the Safety-Service Director. Bids must be received on or before 11:00 a.m. on THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 17, 2016, when they will be publically opened. The bid specifications may be picked up from the Safety-Service Director’s Office at 40 Public Square, Mount Vernon, OH. (Also available electronically upon request to [email protected]) All bids must be sealed and plainly marked on the outside envelope with the name of the item upon which you are bidding and delivered to the Safety-Service Director’s Office located in City Hall at 40 Public Square, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050.
Each bid must contain the full name of every person or company interested in same, and be accompanied by a bond in the sume of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) to the satisfaction of the Director, or a certified check on some solvent bank as a guaranty that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and its performance properly secured.
The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding. Should any bid be rejected such check will be forthwith returned to the bidder and should any bid be accepted, such check will be returned upon the proper execution and securing of the contract.
