Box 69, 622 Packs Branch Road, Pax, WV 25904 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), for the surface mining of approximately 19.70 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV 25840, for renewal of Article 3 permit number S300697 to Coal Surface Mine in the Chilton, Chilton A, Winifrede, Lower
Winifrede and Hernshaw seal of coal.

The operation is discharging into Unnamed Tributaries of/and Skitter Creek, Milburn Creek and Big Hollow and
Unnamed Tributaries of/and Paint Creek, all of Kanawha River and is located 3.5 miles north of Artie in Valley and Clear Fork District of Fayette and Raleigh County, Longitude 81° 19' 16' and Latitude 37° 58' 17" (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).

Written comments and/or requests for an informal conference of the permit renewal application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until March 7th, 2026 or thirty (30) days from the date of final publication.
