NOTICE OF PROPOSED CONVEYANCE
OF UNITED METHODIST CHURCH PROPERTY
(Plum Run Methodist Church)
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Trustees of the West Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church will, on or after April 8, 2020 QUITCLAIM, GRANT and CONVEY to Robert K. Higgins, all of their right, title and interest, in and to that certain tract or parcel of land situate on the west side of Plum Run in Marion County, West Virginia and more particularly bounded and described as follows, to-wit:
Beginning at a stone by County Road at a school house Sub District No. 18; thence S 42 W 3 1/2 poles to stone; thence S 55 E 6 1/4 poles to Plum Run; thence with Plum Run to County Road 3 1/2 poles; thence N 48 E 5 1/2 poles to the Beginning. Containing 21 poles.
And being the same property conveyed from Benjamin Huffman and Sarah Huffman to Trustees of the Methodist Episcopal Church on Plum Run by Deed dated July 25, 1884 and recorded in the Office of the Clerk of the County Commission of Marion County, West Virginia in Deed Book 36, at Page 345.
Said Plum Run United Methodist Church was declared closed effective December 31, 2019 by resolution adopted by a majority of the District Superintendents of the West Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church and the District Board of Church Location.
