New Slide Structure – East Marion Wave Pool
The Marion County Parks and Recreation Commission (MCPARC) is currently accepting Request for Proposals from qualified professionals detailing the company’s qualifications, experience, price, and references, related to the design and installation of a new slide at East Marion Park Wave Pool.
The proposed scope of work will include but is not limited to:
Design of new slide to exactly replace existing slide dimensions with new materials.
Alternate design using existing slide structure and facilities but with new slide feature itself.
Installation of the slide.
Monthly preparation of contractor pay request.
Interested Firms are encouraged to contact Tony Michalski at 304-363-7037 to obtain a Fact Sheet for the submittal. Submittals should include the following:
Letter of Interest
Statement of Qualifications and experience of personnel who will be directly involved in the project
Project descriptions, current names, addresses, telephone numbers of at least five (5) references, three (3) of which will include your firm’s most recently completed projects
Description of geographical location from which this contract would be serviced, if awarded
Proposed schedule for completion of the project and assurances that the project schedule is feasible
Price for replacement of existing slide
Price for alternate slide proposed by firm that would still use current infrastructure.
Procurement of said services shall be made in accordance with West Virginia Code Chapter 5G. Contracts are to be awarded on a lump-sum/fixed fee basis. All design build firms interested in being considered for this project must submit five (5) copies of the requested information to Tony Michalski, Director MCPARC, 1000 Cole Street, Pleasant Valley, WV 26554 no later than 4:00 P.M. on November 1, 2019 in order to receive consideration.
The purpose of the competitive process is to objectively select the company who will provide the highest quality of service at a realistic price. Accordingly, technical qualifications and experience will be weighed heavily. Selected respondents will be graded by staff. Interviews will be conducted accordingly.
Attention is directed to the fact that the proposed project will be undertaken on a very hard construction deadline. During the construction process the selected company will be required to have representation at the monthly board meeting as required by the MCPARC Board of Directors.
The Marion County Parks and Recreation Commission will afford full opportunity for minority business enterprises to submit a show of interest in response to this invitation and will not discriminate against any interested firm or individual on the grounds of race, creed, sex, handicap or national origin in the contract award.
This contract will be awarded to the responsible offerer whose proposal is within the competitive range and is determined to be the most advantageous to the Marion County Parks and Recreation Commission, qualifications, price and other factors considered.
