PUBLIC HEARING
ON PROPOSED
ORDINANCE
TO: CITIZENS OF THE CITY OF FAIRMONT:
The Fairmont Building Commission at its regular meeting held August 28, 2019 introduced and publicly read in its entirety for the first time the following Ordinance:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE FAIRMONT BUILDING COMMISSION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY, KNOWN AS THE CITY OF FAIRMONT UTILITY CUSTOMER SERVICE CENTER, 109 MERCHANT STREET, FAIRMONT, WEST VIRGINIA, FROM THE FAIRMONT BUILDING COMMISSION TO THE CITY OF FAIRMONT WATER BOARD; AUTHORIZING THE ASSIGNMENT OF THE LEASE RELATING TO SAID PROPERTY BETWEEN THE FAIRMONT BUILDING COMMISSION AND WESBANCO BANK, INC. TO THE CITY OF FAIRMONT WATER BOARD; AND AUTHORIZING THE CANCELLATION OF THE LEASE RELATING TO SAID PROPERTY BETWEEN THE FAIRMONT BUILDING COMMISSION AND THE CITY OF FAIRMONT; APPROVING THE FORM OF THE TRANSACTIONAL DOCUMENTS; AND AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRMAN TO EXECUTE AND DELIVER THEM ON BEHALF OF THE FAIRMONT BUILDING COMMISSION.
A copy of the proposed Ordinance is available in the City Manager’s Office, City/County Complex-Meredith Bldg., Rm 305, 200 Jackson St., Fairmont, WV.
The Public Hearing on the proposed item will be held at 2:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard on Wednesday, September, 11, 2019 in City Manager’s Conference Room, Rm 305, 3rd Floor, City/County Complex, 200 Jackson St., Fairmont, Marion County, WV.
Any interested person may appear at the public hearing and be heard as to whether or not said proposed Ordinance shall be enacted. All objections and suggestions shall be heard and the Commission shall take such action as it deems necessary in the premises.
