The City of Pleasant Valley will be holding an election on June 9, 2020 for the following council seats:
(1) a two year term for Kingmont/Bentons Ferry; (2) a four year term for Bentons Ferry; (3) a two year term for Millersville/Pleasant Valley; (4) a four year term for Kingmont and (5) the Mayor’s office, which is a two year term.
In order to file for candidacy, applications will be received by the City Clerk of Pleasant Valley between March 1 – March 15, 2020 during business hours of Monday – Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building in Kingmont. The fee of $5.00 cash must be paid along with the application. In order to qualify for candidacy you must be a resident of Pleasant Valley for no less than one (1) year and be a registered, qualified voter in the precinct for which you apply.
