REQUEST FOR BIDS
The Wetzel County Solid Waste Authority is accepting sealed bids for the demolition of the property located at 238 North Street, New Martinsville, West Virginia 26155.
The Authority will accept bids until 4:00pm, on Tuesday September 12, 2023. The bids need to be marked on the outside of the envelope as 238 North Street Demolition sealed bid. The bids can be mailed to WCSWA, PO Box 61, New Martinsville, WV 26155, or hand delivered to the office at 250 North Street, New Martinsville, WV. The bids will be publicly opened at the regular meeting of the WCSWA on Wednesday September 13, 2023, at 7:00pm.
The project includes the demolition of the two-story building, plus additional attached structures. Building removal and proof of proper disposal of all debris, removal of all trees and foliage, and notification of all necessary adjoining properties, securing of the site along with filling with approved material, grading and seeding and or graveling of the site as specified in the bid package.
The contractor shall include with the bid proof of completion, with reference information on three similar projects. The contractor must also prove the ability to complete the project within sixty (60) days allotted after the contract is awarded and have appropriate licenses (local and otherwise) and acceptable insurance as required in the bid package.

The Authority has already completed the asbestos testing and removal. Proof of asbestos removal will be made available to the chosen contractor.
The WCSWA reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, to negotiate with the lowest qualified bidder and to waive any informality in a bid or to reject an informal bid if necessary.
