The City of Parkersburg will receive sealed bids for #2023-25 DEMOLITION PROJECT.

**** Bids will be received in the office of the Finance Director, First Floor, City Building, #1 Government Square, Parkersburg WV 26101, until 4:00 P.M. THURSDAY, JANUARY 4, 2024 local time. ALL SEALED BIDS SHALL BE PUBLICLY OPENED AND READ ALOUD at 10:00 A.M. FRIDAY, JANUARY 5, 2024 local time
NO BID WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT THE CONTRACTOR’S WV LICENSE NUMBER BEING INCLUDED ON THE BID SUBMISSION.

Contract documents, including Technical specifications, are on file and may be obtained by interested bidders in the office of the Finance Director.

Interested bidders may receive bid information and specifications on our website at https://parkersburgwv.gov

THERE WILL BE NO CHARGE FOR THE SPECIFICATIONS.

The successful bidder may be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bond or bonds.

Each bidder shall require a certified check, bank draft or acceptable surety bid bond in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid.

Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the Section 202 of Executive order No 11246.

GENERAL WV/NPDES WATER POLLUTION CONTROL PERMIT
STORMWATER ASSOCIATED WITH CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES
WV/NPDES PERMIT NO. WV0115924

The State of West Virginia, Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Water and Waste Management is proposing to reissue the West Virginia National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) General Water Pollution Control Permit for Stormwater Associated with Construction Activities. The General Permit will authorize discharges to surface waters of the state for land disturbance operations during development of residential, commercial, or industrial sites. It is proposed that this General Permit be issued for a five (5) year term.

The Director of the Division of Water and Waste Management retains the authority to require any owner/operator to apply for and obtain an individual WV/NPDES Permit. This authority will be exercised when the Director determines that such an individual permit will better protect the receiving water.

The Draft Permit and Fact Sheet are available on the WVDEP website at: https://dep.wv.gov/wwe/programs/stormwater/csw/pages/home.aspx. Hard copies can be mailed upon request.

A virtual public hearing has been scheduled to take official comments on the Draft General Permit. The hearing has been scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, January 29, 2024. Pre-registration for the hearing is required. Registrants will receive a separate email with the link and call-in number for the virtual hearing once the registration deadline passes.

Any person may submit oral or written statements concerning the Draft General Permit; however, reasonable limits may be set upon the time allowed for oral statements at the hearing.
