Welcome to Elkins Signs Bid Requirements
The City of Elkins is requesting bids for a prime contractor to manage the procurement, installation, and finishing of four (4) identical “Welcome to Elkins” signs along roads leading into the city.
Demolition/removal of existing signs will be contracted separately and is not part of this RFP.
Project timeline must be included in the bidding documents.
A design for both the front and back of these signs has been selected. Installation sites have been identified and are approved by West Virginia DOH.
Sign design and procurement to consist of:
Providing fabricator with
proposed design
Facilitating review of
design proof by city
representative
Ordering signs with
approved design
Managing all aspects of
delivery, storage, etc., until
installation can be
completed
Each sign of:
installation
to consist
Two-sided 4×8 foot sign
with dimensional features
Sign material: high density
urethane, quoted at both:
o 15 lbs./sq. foot
o 20 lbs./sq. foot
Two poles and necessary
hardware
Solar powered LED
illumination

Sealed bids will be accepted by the City of Elkins until Tuesday, January 16, 2024, 10:00 a.m. Bids will be due at the Operations Office, in City Hall, and will be opened and publicly read aloud.
