NOTICE OF PROPOSED CONVEYANCE
OF UNITED METHODIST CHURCH PROPERTY
(Job United Methodist Church)
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Trustees of the West Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church will, on or after January 20, 2024 QUITCLAIM, GRANT AND CONVEY to Trustees of Job Valley Church, all of their right, title, and interest, in and to those certain tracts or parcels of land situate in Dry Fork District, Randolph County, West Virginia, and more particularly bounded and described as follows, to-wit:
PARCEL ONE
Beginning at the post on the east side of the State Road below Job and running north 60* east 77 feet to a locust tree; thence south 13.45* east 117 feet to a locust tree; thence south 46-l5 west 8 feet to a fence post to east side of State Road right of way; thence with said right of way 120 feet to the beginning; containing 5,100 square feet, more or less.
And being the same property conveyed from B. Y. White to Trustees of the Job Methodist Church by Deed dated July 19, 1950 and recorded in the Office of the Clerk of the County Commission of Randolph County, West Virginia in Deed Book 183, at Page 371, reference of which is hereby made.
PARCEL TWO
BEGINNING at an oak tree near the western right-of-way of the State Road, a corner, and running in an westerly direction towards the Dry Fork River a distance of 75 feet to a stake, a corner; thence in a northerly direction a distance of 40 feet to a stake, a corner; thence in an easterly direction towards the State Road a distance of 75 feet to a stake near the western right-of-way of the State Road, a corner; thence in a southerly direction along the State Road right-of-way a distance of 40 feet to the oak tree, the point of BEGINNING.
And being the same property conveyed from Foster Teter etux to The Job Methodist Church by Deed dated July 24, 1989 and recorded in the aforesaid Clerk’s Office in Deed Book 399, at Page 651, reference to which is hereby made.
PARCEL THREE
BEGINNING at a post on the east side of the State Road below Job, which post marks the corner of a tract containing 5,100 square feet which was previously conveyed to the Job Methodist Church in 1950 by Benjamin V. White, and running 90 feet in a northerly direction along the State Road right-of-way to a stake, a corner; thence in an easterly direction for a distance of 80 feet to a stake, a corner; thence in a southerly direction for a distance of 90 feet to a stake, a corner; thence in a westerly direction for a distance of BO feet to the point of BEGINNING
And being the same property conveyed from the Grandchildren and heirs-at-law of Hobert S. White, to The Job Methodist Church by Deed dated October 20, 1992 and recorded in the aforesaid Clerk’s Office in Deed Book 423, at Page 301, reference to which is hereby made.
SAID Job United Methodist Church was declared closed effective September 16, 2023 by a vote of a majority of the District Superintendents of the West Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.
