Asbestos Testing
The City of Sistersville
seeks competitive bids for
asbestos sampling and
testing from licensed
firms, related to the
proposed demolition of
multiple structures within
the city and compliance
with NESHAP rule (40
CFR 61 Subpart M).
Interested bidders may
contact City of Sistersville

on structures to be tested
and for a copy of the bid
form. Sealed bids, to be
marked “Sistersville
Asbestos Testing Bids”
and mailed or delivered to:
City of Sistersville

Bids are due to the city by
5:00 PM on
MONTH/DAY/YEAR, after
which they shall be
opened and read aloud.
Bids will be awarded
based on the lowest
responsible bidder.
Along with their signed bid
form, each bidder must
submit a copy of a current
WV contractor license,
evidence of liability
insurance (minimum limit
of $1,000,000), Asbestos
inspector certification from
the West Virginia Office of
Environmental Health
Services, and a bid bond
or cashiers’ check equal to
5% of the bid.
The City of Sistersville will
afford full opportunity for
minority business
enterprises to submit a
show of interest in
response to this invitation
and will not discriminate
against any interested firm
or individual on the
grounds of race, creed,
sex, age, handicap, or
national origin in the
contract award. The City
of Sistersville reserves the
right to accept or reject
