ELKINS CITY HALL – BOILER DEMOLITION PROJECT

SECTION 001113 – ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed bids will be accepted by the City of Elkins for total removal of the gas-fired boiler system (and all associated hazardous materials) within City Hall, located at 401 Davis Avenue in Elkins, West Virginia, until Wednesday, April 3rd, 2024, 10:00 A.M. Bids will be due at the Operations Office, in City Hall, and will be opened and publicly read aloud at that time. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at Elkins City Hall on Wednesday, March 27th, 2024, 11:00 A.M.

Beginning March 21st, Bidding Documents may be viewed free-of-charge at the following locations:

Contractors may obtain Bidding Documents from the office of VanNostrand Architects for a non-refundable fee of $25 each, which will include a hard copy and digital copy of the documents. Any requested postage and shipping will be an additional cost. Bidders will be required to furnish a Bid Bond with their submission, and the successful Bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the time of bid opening without the consent of the Owner.

The City of Elkins reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informality, deemed to be in the best interest of the project. The City of Elkins will afford full opportunity for minority-owned business enterprises to respond to this invitation and will not discriminate against any interested firm or individual on the grounds of race, creed, color, sex, age, disability, or national origin in the contract award. Neither US Department of Labor Wage Rates, nor West Virginia Division of Labor Wage Rates apply to this project.
