CITY OF ELKINS / ELKINS PARKS & RECREATION
COMMISSION
ASPHALT PAVING

The Elkins Parks & Recreation Commission (EPRC) will accept sealed bids for an asphalt paving project at the Phil Gainer Community Center at 142 Robert E. Lee Ext., Elkins, WV 26241 until 5:00 PM on June 12, 2024, at which time all received bids shall be publicly opened and read.
Project: Asphalt paving of the walkway area at the Elkins Little League baseball fields at Riverbend Park in Elkins, WV.
Shaping, compacting, and paving the existing stone base walkways totaling approximately 1,652 square yards with an average of 2″ (after compaction) hot mix asphalt.
This area includes the north entrance to the concession stand and bleachers as well as the area south of the concession stand to the maintenance building at the walking path.
All questions, clarifications, or comments regarding the project can be addressed to Tom Tesar, EPRC Director.
Sealed bids for the paving project should be clearly labeled on a sealed envelope as “EPRC Paving Project Bid” and may either be hand-delivered or mailed to the address below:

The EPRC shall evaluate all bids received based upon price, compliance with the project specifications, customer satisfaction, service availability, and general suitability for the project. The EPRC reserves the right to reject any bids that are not in the best interest of the EPRC. The EPRC reserves the right to select any bid that best meets the needs of the EPRC, including the right to award the contract to a bidder other than the apparent low bidder. The EPRC reserves the right to waive any bidding informalities that may arise. In addition, the EPRC also reserves the right to terminate the contract at any time due to noncompliance with the information contained in the project specifications.
