Notice is hereby given that Roaring Creek Coal Company LLC, 109 Appalachian Drive, Beckley, WV 25801 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for the surface mining of approximately 157.54 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 47 School Street, Suite 301, Philippi, WV 26416-1600, for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number O200619 to construct, operate, and maintain a coal refuse impoundment that has not been started in the N/A seam of coal. The operation is discharging into Unnamed Tributary of Brook Run of Laurel Creek of Middle Fork River of Tygart Valley River of Monongahela River and is located 5.4 miles northwest of Mabie in Roaring Creek District of Randolph County, Longitude 80*03’21” and Latitude 38*55’37” (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).
