The City of Parkersburg will be accepting bids for the construction of the New Fire Station #3. This project includes a single prime contract for construction of the New Fire Station that includes all necessary minor demolition, site work, and building construction related work. Electronic bid documents are available on August 13, 2024, at www.pickeringplanroom.com at no cost. Hard copies can be ordered on the planroom for the cost of printing. A Mandatory Pre-Bid meeting will be held at the project site (710 Briant Street, Parkersburg, WV 26101 on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at 1:00PM. Bids will be due no later than 3:00PM on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, in care of Eric Jiles, Finance Director at the Parkersburg Municipal Building, located at 1 Government Square, Parkersburg, WV 26101. There will be a public bid opening at 1:00PM on Friday, September 20, 2024 in the Executive Conference Room, located on the second floor of the Municipal Building. Per City of Parkersburg Ordinance 135.01 Requirements for Purchases and Bids, there will be a preference for resident vendors.
The Finance Director shall have the authority to reject all bids, parts of bids, or all bids for any one or more supplies or contractual services included in the proposed contract, when the public interest will be served thereby.
