Possible temporary removal of Jefferson 2 and Pike Street 2
The Mid-Ohio Valley Transit Authority (MOVTA) located at 520 Juliana Street, Parkersburg, WV in Wood County, is encouraging public comment regarding the possibility of temporarily removing the Jefferson 2 and Pike Street 2 routes that run at the bottom of the hour.
Due to severe driver shortage, and our desire to remain good purveyors of public funding, the Mid-Ohio Valley Transit Authority is proposing to temporarily suspend the Jefferson 2 and Pike Street 2 routes, leaving Jefferson 1 and Pike Street 1 intact.
All comments and questions will be reviewed at the office of the Mid-Ohio Valley Transit Authority located at 520 Juliana Street, Parkersburg, WV from 8:30am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday.
The public comment period will run from September 30, 2024, to October 14, 2024. A public comment session will take place on Monday October 14, 2024, from 2:00pm-6:00pm in the conference room located at 520 Juliana Street, Parkersburg, WV. Additionally, a public comment session will be held at the Vienna Public Library, located at 2300 River Road, Vienna, WV, Tuesday October 15, 2024, from 5:00pm-6:00pm. MOVTA invites written comments on the proposed project by sending all comments to the following:
