Notice is hereby given that Carter Roag Coal Company, 109 Appalachian Drive, Beckley, WV 25801 has submitted an application with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), 47 School Street, Suite 301, Philippi, WV 26416-1600 for a Phase 2 release on Permit Number U104391 issued for 37.59 acres.
The permit is located in Middle Fork District of Randolph County, 6.3 miles southwest of Mabie on Long Run of Middle Fork River of Tygart Valley River.
Carter Roag Coal Company completed revegetation on 11/05/2021 and is requesting release of 25 percent of the reclamation performance bond currently in the amount of $36,905.40.
Written comments will be received at the DEP address above until November 16, 2024, or thirty (30) days from the date of final publication.
