NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
CITY OF PARKERSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA
FY 2025-2029 CONSOLIDATED AND
FY 2025 ANNUAL ACTION PLANS
Notice is hereby given that the City of Parkersburg, West Virginia will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at 6:00 p.m., at the Parkersburg Municipal Building, Executive Conference Room 2nd Floor, One Government Square, Parkersburg, WV 26101. The Municipal Building is accessible to persons with physical disabilities. If special arrangements need to be made to accommodate residents for them to participate in the public hearing, please contact Ms. Tammy Bunner at (304) 424-8519 to make those arrangements, or for persons who may have a hearing impediment, please contact 7-1-1 for the TTY/TTD relay.
The purpose of this public hearing is to gather information for the City’s FY 2025-2029 Five-Year Consolidated Plan and FY 2025 Annual Action Plan.
As part of the planning process, the City is conducting a survey to identify residents’ needs in the community and ideas on how residents would like to see funds budgeted under the CDBG and HOME Programs. Please take a few minutes and complete this confidential survey to the best of your ability. The survey can be found at parkersburgwv.gov/survey.
The city does not anticipate notice of its funding allocation until the Spring of 2025. In order to receive those funds, the City must prepare a Five-Year Consolidated Plan and a One Year Annual Action Plan for the use of the CDBG and HOME funds. At least 70% of the CDBG funds must benefit low- and moderate-income persons living in the City of Parkersburg. In preparing its CDBG and HOME application the City intends to afford residents, local agencies, and interested parties the opportunity to become involved in the planning process.
All interested residents are encouraged to attend this public hearing and will be given the opportunity to present oral or written testimony concerning the needs of the City and the use of CDBG and HOME funds to address those needs over the next five (5) years. Written comments may be addressed to Mr. Ryan Barber, Development Director, City of Parkersburg, One Government Square, Parkersburg, WV 26101 or via email at [email protected] or via phone at (304) 424-8415.
Tom Joyce,
Mayor of the City of Parkersburg
