Wood County Schools will be accepting bids for the PHS Stadium & Building 413 Renovations project. The project entails demolition of the existing East (visitor’s) Parkersburg High School cast-in-place (CIP) concrete stadium tread, risers and CIP concrete column/beam substructure. The demolished CIP concrete deck & substructure shall be replaced with a steel substructure and a new precast concrete tread & riser deck. The existing exterior three (3) sided brick/CMU wall is to remain in place throughout all construction activities. The project will also include but is not limited to the following: new fire suppression system under the East (visitor’s) Stadium, ADA ramp access, handrail/fall protection, existing seat plank restoration and renovations to the adjacent Building 413 restroom facility. Bidding documents are available at www.pickeringplanroom.com on November 25, 2024. Documents can be downloaded for free or hard copies can be ordered for the cost of printing. A Prebid meeting will be held on site at Parkersburg High School Field House located at 2101 Dudley Avenue Parkersburg, WV 26101 on December 12, 2024, at 10:00 am. Bids will be due at 1:00 pm on January 7, 2025, at the Wood County Schools Board Office located at 1210 13th Street, Parkersburg, WV 26101 at which time and place there will be a public bid opening.
