Notice of Application

Notice is given that Leavitt Funeral Home has applied to the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Air Quality, for a Construction Permit for a Facultatieve Technology FT 60 pet cremation unit located on 414 Seventh Street, Parkersburg, West Virginia, in Wood County. The latitude and longitude coordinates are: 39.265380, -81.557430.

The applicant estimates the potential to discharge the following Regulated Air Pollutants from the unit will be:
PM 1.40 tons/year
PM-10 1.40 tons/year
PM-2.5 1.40 tons/year
NOx 2.72 tons/year
SOx 0.45 tons/year
CO 0.06 tons/year
VOCs 1.84 tons/year
Lead 03.12E-4 tons/year
Total HAPs 0.47 tons/year

Startup of operation is planned to begin on or about the eighteenth day of March 2025. Written comments will be received by the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Air Quality, 601 57th Street, SE, Charleston, WV 25304, for at least 30 calendar days from the date of publication of this notice. Written comments will also be received via email at DEPAirQualityPermitting@
WV.gov.
