Notice is hereby given that the City of Parkersburg, in accordance with Article 1705.08 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Parkersburg, West Virginia, claims a lien to secure the payment of the sum of Six Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy-Four Dollars and 88/100 ($6,774.88), plus interest from date of lien, upon your interest in and to the herein described real property lying, situate and being in the City of Parkersburg, County of Wood, State of West Virginia, being more particularly bounded and described as follows:
BEING all Lot No 6 as laid down and described upon a plat of G.C. and Mary Butcher Addition to South Parkersburg, Wood County, WV which plat is of record in the Office of the County County Commission of Wood County, WV in Plat Book No 4, at page 68, to which Plat reference is now made for a description thereof. Said lot fronts 40 feet on the southerly side of Clegg Street (or Avenue) and extends back southerly 90.8 feet more or less.
BEING the same lot conveyed to Anna VanEvera by deed dated the 24th day of January 2019, from Thomas & Loretta Daniell Family Planning Trust dated August 11, 2008, and recorded in Deed Book 1288 at page 48.
Such claim is made on the basis that the City of Parkersburg has caused to be demolished certain building(s) formerly located upon the above described real property.
The nature of the work performed upon the aforesaid buildings and upon the above described real property, pursuant to a contract for demolition awarded to Final Grade Excavating LLC, under lawful bidding procedures, was the demolition by the aforesaid contractor on or around the 22nd day of December, 2024. Said lien is claimed at the price and amount set forth hereinabove, plus interest from date of lien, as shown more fully in the invoice submitted by said contractor which is attached hereto as City Exhibit 1, and in the statement of the various costs necessary and incidental, for such demolition which is attached hereto as City Exhibit 2, which may both be viewed by contacting the City of Parkersburg.
