NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that the above-styled matter has been filed in the Circuit Court of Wood County, West Virginia, pursuant to the West Virginia Contraband Forfeiture Act (West Virginia Code 60A-7-701, et. seq.). Any person or corporation having a claim to the hereinafter described property shall, on or before the 28th day of April, 2025 file, in writing, their claim to said property with the Clerk of said Court, which said claim must clearly state the identity of the claimant and an address where legal process can be served upon such person or corporation. A copy of said claim shall be delivered to Patrick O. Lefebure, Prosecuting Attorney, Counsel for Petitioners, at the Office of the Wood County Prosecuting Attorney, Judge Donald Black Annex, 317 Market Street, Parkersburg, West Virginia 26101.
Pursuant to West Virginia Code 60A-7-705 (c)(1-6), the following information is given: (1) the property seized which is the subject of the petition filed is $3,305.00 in United States Currency, Ruger LC .380, Serial No. 326-68654, Colt Huntsman .22, Serial No. 180749 and Cobra Model CA .380, Serial No. CP01257P; (2) the Parkersburg Police Department is responsible for the seizure; (3) the property was seized on December 22, 2024 at 2305 ½ Oak Street, Parkersburg, Wood County West Virginia; (4) the only owners of the property subject to forfeiture known to Petitioners is Desmond Self, whose address is 2055 Leblanc Street, Lincoln Park, Michigan and Christopher Lutz, whose address is 2305 ½ Oak Street, Parkersburg, West Virginia; (5) the person having possession of the seized property at the time of the seizure was Desmond Self and Christopher Lutz; and (6) a request to the above named Court to enter an Order directing ownership of said property in the State and the Parkersburg Police Department will be made.
