NOTICE OF INTENT TO SELL CERTAIN REAL ESTATE
OF THE LITTLE KANAWHA DISTRICT OF THE
WEST VIRGINIA ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF THE
UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
It is the intent of the Trustees of the Little Kanawha District of the West Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church to sell the following described tracts of real estate situate in the City of Parkersburg, Wood County, West Virginia, to The Redeemer Anglican Church, said real estate being more particularly bounded and described as follows:
PARCELS 1 AND 2:
BEING all of Lots 1 and 2 as shown on plat of D. C. Dils Park View Addition to Parkersburg, West Virginia, a plat of which is recorded in the Office of the Clerk of the County Commission of Wood County, West Virginia in Plat Book 2, page 52, reference to which plat is hereby made for more particular description of said lot and which said lot is located at the intersection of Fairview Avenue and 23rd Street, (formerly Lavassor Street) and fronts 50.06 feet on the easterly side of Fairview Avenue and runs back between parallel lines to an alley.
PARCEL 3:
BEGINNING in the Easterly line of a 20-foot alley and in the Southerly line of Twenty-Third Street, at the Northwest corner of Lot No. 11 of Ardmore Addition, as shown of record in the Office of the Clerk of the County Commission of Wood County, West Virginia, in Plat Book No. 4, at Page 140; thence with the Easterly line of the aforesaid 20-foot alley in a Southerly direction 140 feet to the Southwest corner of Lot No. 11 of the aforesaid Ardmore Addition; thence in a Westerly direction 10 feet to the center of the aforesaid 20-foot alley; thence in a Northerly direction and continuing with the center line of the aforesaid 20-foot alley 40 feet to a point; thence in a Westerly direction 10 feet to the common line of Lot No. 2 of D. C. Dils Parkview Addition, as shown of record in the aforesaid Clerk’s Office in Plat Book No. 2, at Page 52, and Lot No. 10 of the aforesaid Ardmore Addition, and also being in the Westerly line of the aforesaid 20-foot alley; thence with the Westerly line of the aforesaid 20-foot alley in a Northerly direction 100 feet to the Southerly line of Twenty-Third Street, said point being the Northeast corner of Lot No. 1 of the aforesaid D. C. Dils Parkview Addition; thence with the Southerly line of Twenty-Third Street in an Easterly direction 20 feet to the place of beginning.
There is hereby EXCEPTED and RESERVED for the benefit of the City of Parkersburg a permanent utility right-of-way and easement for ingress and egress over, along and under said parcel for the installation, maintenance, location, re-location, and removal of all public utilities of any kind.
PARCELS 4-8:
BEING all of Lots Numbers 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 of Ardmore Addition to the City of Parkersburg, a plat of which is recorded in the Office of the Clerk of the County Commission of Wood County, West Virginia, in Plat Book No. 4, at page 140, to which plat reference is hereby made for a more particular description of said lots.
BEING the same real estate conveyed unto Parkview M.E. Church by deed recoded in Deed Book 197, at page 320, to the Park View M.E. Church by deed recorded in Deed Book 199, at page 254, to the Trustees of the Parkview United Methodist Church by deed recorded in Deed Book 835, at page 462 and to the Trustees of And For Parkview Methodist Church recorded in Deed Book 438, at page 294.
It is the intent of the Trustees of the Little Kanawha District of the West Virginia Annual Conference of
the United Methodist Church to convey said real estate for the sum of Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars, to the Redeemer Anglican Church, on or before, April 18, 2025, or as soon thereafter as possible.
