Wood County Schools will be accepting bids for the Lincoln Demolition Project. Work shall include, but not be limited to the following: Demolition of the old Lincoln School on or about June 9th, 2025 located on the existing Vandevender Middle School site. A time capsule is present on the Northern corner of the building that will be removed prior to demolition. Demolition will be completed prior to the start of new construction at this site slated for late September 2025. Temporary fencing around the project will need to stay in place until the new construction project begins. Bidding documents are available at www.pickering plan
room.com on April 21, 2025. Documents can be downloaded for free or hard copies can be ordered for the cost of printing. A Prebid meeting will be held at the Old Lincoln School next to 918 31st Street, Parkersburg, WV on April 28, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Bids will be due at 12:00 PM on Monday, May 12, 2025, at the Wood County Schools Board Office located at 1210 13th Street, Parkersburg, WV, at which time and place there will be a public bid opening.
