NOTICE OF PROPOSED CONVEYANCE OF
UNITED METHODIST
CHURCH PROPERTY
(Riverhill United
Methodist Church)
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Trustees of the West Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church will, on or after April 24, 2025 QUITCLAIM, GRANT and CONVEY to the Trustees of The Word Church all of their right, title and interest in and to that certain lot or parcel of real estate situate, lying and being in Lubeck District, Wood County, West Virginia, described as follows:
BEGINNING at the corner of D. Cain, et-al, thence N. 68 W. 10 poles and 4 links to a stake: thence S. 4 ½ E. 14 ½ poles in fence; thence N. 74 1/8 E. 13 poles and 4 links to a stake; thence N. 31 W.8 poles, to the place of beginning, being one church lot now occupied by said church.
And being the same property conveyed from Z. O. and E. V. Bumgarner to the Trustees of River Hill Methodist Episcopal Church by Deed dated January 19, 1926 and recorded in the Office of the Clerk of the County Commission of Wood County, West Virginia in Deed Book 192, at Page 453, reference to which is hereby made.
Said Riverhill United Methodist Church was declared closed effective on October 29, 2024 by a majority of the District Superintendents of the West Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. Dated the 10th day of April, 2025.
