Wood County Schools will be accepting bids for the Van Devender Demolition Project. Work shall include, but not be limited to the following: Demolition of the Van Devender Middle School on or about October 20th, 2025, located at 918 31st. A separate contract for Asbestos Abatement will be completed prior to building demolition. Demolition duration will likely occur while construction of a new elementary building is underway in late September 2025 on the same site. Temporary fencing around the project will need to stay in place until the new construction project begins. Bidding documents are available at www.pickeringplanroom.com on May 20, 2025. Documents can be downloaded for free or hard copies can be ordered for the cost of printing. A Prebid meeting will be held at Van Devender Middle School located at 918 31st Street, Parkersburg, WV on May 27, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Bids will be due at 12:00 PM on Monday, June 17, 2025, at the Wood County Schools Board Office located at 1210 13th Street, Parkersburg, WV, at which time and place there will be a public bid opening.
