NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that the Wood County Civil Service Commission will conduct an Entrance Test for Deputy Sheriff on Monday, June 30, 2025. The physical agility test will be conducted at 6:00 p.m.
at Parkersburg High School, 2101 Dudley Avenue, Parkersburg, WV. The applicants that pass the physical agility test will then take the written portion, which will be conducted the same day, at the Wood County Courthouse, 1 Court Square, Suite 307, Parkersburg, WV at 7:00 p.m.
Applications may be obtained from the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, 401 2nd Street, Suite 11, Parkersburg, WV, or downloaded from woodcountywv.com (Sheriff ‘s Office).
Applications must be turned in before Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 12:00 p.m.
Physical Agility Requirements:
1. 1.5 mile run to be completed in less than 14.36 minutes
2. 28 sit-ups in 1 minute
3. 18 push-ups in 1 minute
