LEGAL NOTICE
Pursuant to West Virginia Code Section 8-12-18, notice is hereby given of a temporary road closure in the City of Elkins, Randolph County, West Virginia, on Friday, July 4, 2025, for public safety during a scheduled fireworks display.
The affected roadway is a portion of Harrison Avenue, more particularly described as the segment between Worth Avenue and the intersection of Harrison Avenue and U.S. Route 219. This section will be closed to all vehicular traffic for a period of approximately 30 to 60 minutes between the hours of 9:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
During the closure, traffic will be rerouted onto Reed Street, then to 11th Street, and continue toward the McDonald’s area to be reconnected to 219 and local roadways. Local law enforcement will be on-site to direct and assist with traffic control and ensure public safety.
This closure is temporary in nature and will be lifted immediately following the conclusion of the fireworks display.
