INVITATION TO BID Sealed bids for exterior restoration work at the Jackson County Courthouse building in Ripley, WV, will be received in the office of the Jackson County Commission at the Jackson County Courthouse, 100 North Court Street, Ripley, West Virginia, until Wednesday August 6, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. All complete bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Commission Meeting at that time. All Bids must be submitted in accordance with the Bidding Documents issued by the Architect. A Contractor’s Qualification Statement shall be submitted with the bid outlining the contractor’s experience with five previous projects of similar scope. Prime Bidders interested in submitting bids shall contact the Architect. Email bid package requests to Rachel Driggs at [email protected] and a Web site link to access the bidding documents will be emailed. Contractors shall access bidding documents and print copies at their own expense. A deposit is not required to access the Web site. A certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total Bid, or a satisfactory Bid Bond furnished by a solvent surety company authorized to do business in the state of West Virginia in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid must be submitted with each Bid. The successful Bidder will be required to execute a contract and provide a Performance Bond, Labor and Material Payment Bond, and a Maintenance Bond for 100% of the contract award. All Prime Contractors and Subcontractors shall be licensed in compliance with SB409 (WV Contractor’s Licensing Act). All General Contractors shall provide a copy of their WV Contractor’s license and include their license number in the space provided on the Bid Form. See supplemental instructions to bidders for more information. A Mandatory Pre-Bid meeting will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025, at 1:30pm in the Commission Meeting Room. All bidders must attend the Pre-Bid meeting to familiarize themselves with the project location, site conditions, and other relevant information. Attendance at the Pre-Bid meeting is mandatory for bid qualification. After the scheduled closing time for receipt of Bids, no Bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days.
