AIR QUALITY PERMIT NOTICE
Notice of Application
Notice is given that J.F. Allen Company has applied to the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Air Quality, for a G20-C044 for a hot mix asphalt plant located on 2865 Gauley Tpke, near Flatwoods, in Braxton County, West Virginia. The latitude and longitude coordinates are: 38.747495 N and -80.658955 W.
The applicant estimates the potential to discharge the following Regulated Air Pollutants will be:
Nitrogen Oxides at 18 tons per year, Carbon Monoxide at 40 tons per year, PM at 34 tons per year, PM-10 at 8 tons per year, Volatile Organic Compounds at 10 tons per year, Sulfur Dioxide at 30 tons per year, Formaldehyde at 2 ton per year, and Total Hazardous Air Pollutants at 4 tons per year.
Startup of operation is planned to begin on or about the 1 day of September, 2025. Written comments will be received by the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Air Quality, 601 57th Street, SE, Charleston, WV 25304, for at least 30 calendar days from the date of publication of this notice.
